Meet Brandon Chase McGee

fueled BY COMMUNITY

In 2022, Brandon Chase McGee boldly answered the call to step up and fight for the Denton working class. Since his election win two years ago, Brandon has served proudly on Denton City Council in the Place 5 at-large seat.

Brandon serves under the belief that his seat belongs to the hardworking people of Denton, not political parties or major corporations.

Mr. McGee has never shied away from standing up for his community. Prior to his election to Denton City Council, he served on the city's crucial Zoning Board of Adjustment. He is a graduate of the Congressional Black Caucus Institute and the New Leaders Council.

Brandon is also a proud graduate of both the University of North Texas and Collin College.

a vision for the future

What separates Brandon apart from others is his vision. He understands that we cannot just make decisions for the next few years, but instead make calculated, lasting decisions that will impact the future of Denton ten and twenty years down the line.

Mr. McGee knows a better Denton is possible. A Denton where local government brings everyday, working citizens into the process. He believes every Dentonite deserves a voice on our city council.

The mcgee family

Brandon is a loving father to two young daughters, and is a man of faith. He attends local Tri-Cities Church of Christ every week, and lives on the philosophy of Psalms 37:3: "Trust in the Lord and do good".

In his free time, Brandon enjoys spending time in nature, whether hiking, traveling, or exploring state and national parks. Additionally, Mr. McGee is a lover of all things art and enjoys local showcases and concerts in Denton. Brandon also frequently cheers on the UNT Mean Green at home games.
